Invest in Bogota’s efforts focused on supporting the Bogotá Metro Company and the Cundinamarca Mobility Secretariat in showcasing projects that will transform citizens’ lives in the coming years: the extension of Bogotá Metro’s Line 1, the awarding of the contract for the second line, and the design and structuring of the third metro line, as well as the Regiotram del Norte.
“With the aim of boosting the development of these projects, which will account for 115.8 km of rail lines—essential for transporting around 3.8 million passengers—we held 25 meetings with various companies in the rail sector, including construction firms, rolling stock manufacturers, technology providers, investors, and consultants interested in taking part in these developments,” highlighted Isabella Muñoz, Executive Director of Invest in Bogotá.
Additionally, during the fair, we engaged over 35 companies to raise awareness and discuss the projects, including through the Latin American Railway Symposium, held with the support of Deutsche Bahn (DB), a meeting with Spanish companies led by MAFEX (the Spanish Railway Association), and a business roundtable with international firms hosted by ProColombia.
