“This is a significant milestone for Bogotá, aligning perfectly with our vision of an open city to the world.  We are committed to a strong cultural agenda and a well-integrated region, connecting not only with Cundinamarca and the Metropolitan Area but with all of Colombia. This new route will help us unlock its full potential,” said Mayor Carlos Fernando Galán.

With this direct flight, Bogotá’s rich culinary scene, vibrant culture, and stunning natural landscapes will be more accessible to Brazilian travelers. The route, operated by GOL Airlines, one of Latin America’s leading carriers, also enhances connectivity for visitors by offering more travel options and seamless connections.

“This new route will drive growth in the travel market between Brasília and Bogotá, making it easier for tourists to explore both cities. Additionally, the visa-free entry and the ability to stay in Colombia for up to 90 days encourage short- and mid-term trips, allowing more Brazilian visitors to discover our beautiful city,” said Andrés Santamaría, Director of IDT.

Carmen Caballero, President of ProColombia, highlighted the strategic importance of this connection:

“The new GOL route between Brasília and Bogotá is a fantastic opportunity to further strengthen air connectivity between Colombia and Brazil—two key players in tourism and business. Beyond boosting travel and trade, this link will allow more visitors to discover Colombia’s rich cultural and natural heritage.”

Tickets for GOL’s new direct flight are now available, with three weekly departures—Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The flight duration between the two capitals is approximately four hours.

This route also enhances cargo transport and logistics between both countries. Bogotá, with its extensive flight network, serves as a gateway to over 50 destinations across the Americas, while Brasília provides direct connections to 30 cities within Brazil.
