The Bogota Institute of Tourism (IDT) has announced the launch of VisitBogota.co, a digital platform designed to enhance the tourist experience in the Colombian capital. The launch took place on Wednesday, January 24th, at the "Colombia, the country of beauty" booth, managed by ProColombia at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) in Madrid, Spain, one of the world's most significant events in the tourism sector.
Visitbogota.co is an initiative aimed at boosting Bogota as a primary tourist destination, providing both national and international visitors, as well as the people of Bogota themselves, unprecedented access to the city's fascinating tourism offerings. The platform will offer detailed information about points of interest, cultural events, gastronomy, accommodations, and much more, all with the goal of enriching the tourist experience for visitors, residents, and promoting responsible and sustainable tourism in our city.

Bogota's presence at FITUR and the platform's launch are clear indicators of the city's commitment to innovation and tourism promotion. With a user-friendly and accessible interface, it is destined to become an indispensable resource for those wishing to discover everything that Bogota has to offer.
In parallel to the platform's launch in Madrid at the FITUR fair, Visitbogota.co will also be launched on various information screens at El Dorado International Airport of Bogota, which has joined efforts to support the platform's positioning and is working on strengthening the visitor center.
During this tourism fair, Bogota will receive recognition from Spain's State Representative Platform for People with Physical Disabilities (PREDIF) for the work done in accessible tourism. This strategy promotes implementing actions throughout the value chain to make tourism accessible in its spaces, attractions, services, and products, thereby eliminating barriers to attract more tourists to visit the city independently, comfortably, and safely.
Additionally, IDT Director Andrés Santamaría will participate in the panel "Renewal and Prosperity: China's Receiving and Sending Tourism Market" organized by the World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF). He will discuss the challenges Bogota faced in terms of tourism in the past year, the expected developments in 2024, and the vision regarding the Chinese market in our territory.
