"This is fantastic news for Bogotá, home to over 11,000 nightlife establishments, including bars and nightclubs. It also cements the city’s position as a destination offering world-class nightlife experiences. A prime example is Theatron, which ranked 68th and welcomes around 4,500 visitors every Saturday, 20% of whom are tourists. Accolades like this position Bogotá as one of the best destinations,” said Andrés Santamaría, director of Bogotá’s Tourism Institute.
The inclusion of these clubs in the international ranking underscores the quality of Colombian nightlife and drives the growth of entertainment tourism in the city. Bogotá now joins the ranks of global destinations such as Ibiza, Las Vegas, London, and Barcelona, drawing an increasing number of visitors in search of extraordinary nightlife experiences.
Additionally, Theatron, located in ‘Bogotá, My City, My Home’ was honored with the prestigious Triple Excellence Certification, making it the first club in Latin America to receive this recognition. This certification evaluates criteria such as safety, sound management, service quality, and social responsibility, further solidifying the professionalism and excellence of Bogotá’s entertainment venues.

The World’s 100 Best Clubs™️ 2024 list was compiled following an intense voting process with over 300,000 participants, recognizing top entertainment venues across 30 countries. Cities like Miami, Singapore, and Bogotá have emerged as international benchmarks.
With these achievements, Bogotá strengthens its position as a thriving international tourism destination, offering a diverse and high-quality nightlife scene.
