A recent report by the Urbanet portal entitled "The New Face of Bogotá's Bronx" is highlighting the social and cultural advances that have taken place in Bogotá’s Bronx sector.

The article is based on the experiences of the participants in the “Sinfonía de danza y Hip Hop” ("Symphony of Dance and Hip Hop") event, one of the most recent events of the Bronx Creative District project, organized by the Gilberto Alzate Avendaño Foundation (FUGA) in collaboration with the district administration.

This event included the participation of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogotá in an exercise that combined the talents of representative urban artists from the borough with musical accompaniment on La Milla stage (Carrera 15 and Calle 10).

Throughout the article there is also a review of the extensive journey to make the Bronx a livable sector full of culture, explaining the sector’s history and its transformation to become a space of opportunities for citizens, thanks to the efforts of the District to consolidate a new image focused on people’s wellbeing and care.

Urbanet is a digital blog focused on sustainable urban development issues in local governments and is supported and implemented by the "Cities" sector project of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
