Of the total travelers who visited the country in the first three months of 2024, over 1 million were foreigners (excluding Venezuelan citizens); more than 300,000 were Colombians living abroad; 52,100 were Venezuelans, and another 175,059 were cruise ship passengers.
The report also indicates that in March 2024 alone, 510,000 visitors entered the country, the highest number recorded for March since 2015.
The main countries of origin for foreign tourists visiting the country and the capital in March 2024 were the United States (26.6%), Ecuador (7.3%), and Mexico (7.2%). There was also notable growth in visitors from countries like Costa Rica.
