The Bogotá Tourism Institute (IDT), in partnership with the Bogotá Bus Terminal, has announced the reopening of the Tourist Information Point. This initiative is designed to offer essential information to visitors arriving in the city by land transport.

Tourists coming to Bogotá via the Bus Terminal will now have access to a wealth of city and tourism information at the Tourist Information Point, located in module 5 of the terminal.

Liliana Henao, an advisor at the Tourism Institute, shared the exciting news: “We are thrilled to celebrate the reopening of our Tourist Information Point, a joint effort between the Bogotá Tourism Institute and the Bus Terminal. Our goal is to warmly welcome the over 15 million tourists visiting the city each year and continue to promote Bogotá as the country's top tourist destination.”

This point serves not just as an office but also as many tourists' first impression of the city. It is where information, guidance, and consultative materials are provided to help travelers fully enjoy their time in Bogotá. Services range from itinerary planning to recommendations for experiencing the city's cuisine, culture, art, history, and engaging in community, rural, and social tourism.

Ana María Zambrano Duque, manager of the Bogotá Bus Terminal, commented, “As part of our commitment and objectives, we aim to strengthen Bogotá's tourism. Therefore, we have partnered with the Bogotá Tourism Institute (IDT) to undertake various joint actions. This collaboration will enable us to provide timely information to the more than 15 million travelers arriving in the capital.”

In the coming months, a new Tourist Information Point will open at the North Terminal, expanding the information services to reach more domestic and international travelers.

With 11% of bus arrivals in Bogotá being non-migrant foreigners, the reopening of the Tourist Information Point signifies a renewed commitment to hospitality and inbound tourism in the city.
